Key Region Leiden is not a collection of ideas, but a unique working ecosystem with the highest knowledge density in the Netherlands in eight key technologies.

With three knowledge clusters, we work every day on today’s challenges and tomorrow’s solutions. Science for life.

The Leiden Bio Science Park is working on innovations at the intersection of vaccines, regenerative medicine(stem cell and gene therapy), data and AI, medical technology and lifestyle prevention.
Through NL Space Campus, satellite data are being used for applications such as Earth observation, climate monitoring and communications.
At Unmanned Valley ,autonomous tech is being developed for medical logistics, sustainable agriculture and security of (critical) infrastructure, among other things.

AI and data science are applied in both medical imaging, drone navigation, quantum computing and analyzing satellite data.
Test sites and programs for startups and scale-ups allow for immediate validation and scale-up of technology.
By connecting knowledge clusters, we can stimulate and accelerate innovation. We do this in network meetings and programs.
